Abstract landscape painting 282

Moody moonscape in reds.

A three canvas sectional set triptych.

Extra large at the size of 20 high by 36 wide in inches.

The abstract landscape is sofa size and may be displayed in various layouts.

The most popular is with the canvas spread apart. Allowing the eye to connect the sections.

Theo has made brackets that may be used with the triptych sets. They connect all canvases

together so they may be hung as one unit.  The most interesting idea that the brackets bring about.

Is that they also may be used to move the center canvas away from the wall. (About 3 inches)

allowing the outer two canvases to angle back where just the edges touch. Creating a shadow effect

under the layout. This is something unique that Dapore offers his clients and I’ve not seen anything

like it. Theo refers to this as a bevel layout.

One more innovation from a artist who

paints and develops his own

painting techniques.

We have always said Theo should

write a book 101 unique painting techniques

rather than painting on canvas.

Here shortly I believe I will show and cover

a painting from 2006.

painted this large 36×60 painting

with nothing but a plastic broom.

Well back to abstract landscape 282.

The painting was painted in most part.

Was painted with a three inch household

painter brush.

Some of the atmospheric effects where done

by layering transparent washes.

The tree, the main component was

made using the sharp edge of a palette knife

and

thick paint.

The end result

the tree has a 3-d illusion

as it is higher than the rest of the painting.
