A simple color palette of black and white with a touch of red.
Point of interest in this painting Dapore uses no mixing palette
rather he applies pure color directly to the canvas and does his
mixing there. The neutral gray back ground shows a whipped
color blend of crosshatching and smoothing. The additional back ground
lineage is applied over the wet base of neutral gray with pure black and white.
The colors are worked in with repeated sweeping strokes. This approach softens
the straight color by blending it with a bit of the wet base. The approach
creates a soft harmonious appeal.
